We are pleased to announce that the D-Star Gateway server has been upgraded to faster hardware, D-Star Gateway Version 2 software has been installed/configured, and registration is now open!. While the D-Star system is open to all licensed hams, you must be a member of a club that operates a D-Star system and be registered on that system to use the gateway functionality on D-Star systems throughout the world. To use the repeater locally, or if you're not a member of the club, do nothing. However, if you are a member of NS9RC and wish to use the gateway you must register.
Two documents have been created to assist you in registering and using the system. The NSRC Gateway Registration (1.03 MB) document will walk you through the registration process. Please note that registration is a 3 part process: First, you must click on "D-Star Registartion" at http://www.ns9rc.org/, second the D-Star administrators must verify your membership status and approve your request, and third you must return to "D-Star Registration" at http://www.ns9rc.org/ and activate your radio(s). It is all detailed in the Gateway Registration document. Once you register with NS9RC (or another D-Star system) you can use any D-Star gateway, so you DO NOT need to register again. The How D-Star Works (653.51 kB) document, created by Don (KK9H) and Mark (WB9QZB), provides some background on how D-Star works and shows you how to program your radio to make contacts locally and all over the world. Coming soon - VIDEOS of registration and radio programming. If you have any questions please e-mail
This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
and one of the administrators will try to assist. 73 and enjoy the system! |
