Feb 8 Meeting: FCC Exposure rules

The club meeting scheduled for February 8th will again be a virtual meeting using GoToMeeting.  We will continue to hold virtual meetings until March, 2022 or later.

This month’s meeting will include the following:

 Club Business – Burt KR9T

A look at upcoming programs – Dave WW9S

Featured speaker: Greg Lapin N9GL

Since the FCC changed the human exposure rules on May 3, 2021, all hams are required to confirm that their stations are not exposing anyone to RF levels higher than the regulatory safety limits.  In this presentation, N9GL will discuss what is required at every amateur radio station, several ways to perform exposure assessments, and what you can do if the assessment indicates the potential for excessive exposure.
